Friends For Life volunteers Audrey Kasel and Barbara Draws participated in "Spay Day 2004" put together by the Sacramento Animal Coalition. Dr. Metzler, owner of Orangevale Veterinary Hospital, and her staff donated the hospital and their time and skills to perform 52 spay and neuters in one day. Along with 30 other veterinary hospitals, there were almost 1,000 cats and dogs spayed and neutered in one day!
