Sandy literally grew up on the streets of Houston, with her mother, near the Heights Walmart area. Prior to her rescue, Sandy had never had close contact with humans, but after two months of socialization, Sandy is ready to meet her ideal partner in life. Sandy is a beautiful Shepherd mix born last year, and ready to live a long, healthy life with you!

Temperament: Sandy is shy, cautious, reserved, and trainable. Over time, Sandy’s personality will become more outgoing, as it currently reflects her previous life on the streets. Sandy likes other dogs, going for walks, people of all ages, grooming, going to new places, and car rides, but she may get sick on long car rides. Sandy is sometimes bothered by loud noises.

Training: Sandy is house and crate trained with the wire-style kennel—very important at this point in her life to maintain continuity. Sandy is used to a collar and leash. She may jump on people and occasionally bark. Sandy has sometimes been destructive and dug. She is young and may benefit from lots of chew toys.

Sandy is a remarkable dog with unlimited potential. With her intelligence and resilience, the sky is the limit! Sandy will reward you in many ways, but primarily with unfailing love, devotion, and loyalty. Meet Sandy, and allow her to work her magic!
