Duke was found wandering east of the medical center near a busy intersection. Duke was lost and afraid, holding his tail between his legs. His foster quickly earned Duke’s trust with regular meals and love, and now sweet Duke prances around with his tail high in the air!

Personality: Duke is now a happy, confident dog. He is friendly and affectionate with adults, children and other dogs. His face lights up when he sees his leash or hears the car keys because he loves going on walks and for car rides or anything that means more time with you! Playing fetch, chasing a bouncing tennis ball or playing a game of tug of war are also favorite activities. Duke likes to please and shows his appreciation for your companionship with kisses.

Training: Duke is house trained and is used to a collar and leash. Duke sometimes jumps in the air in excitement, but not on you. He only barks occasionally but not at other dogs. He is good at meeting new dogs on or off his leash. Duke is proud of his ability to sit but mostly loves showing off his skills knowing how to shake hands!

Duke is a very smart and accomplished dog that anyone would be proud to call their best friend! Duke will be waiting to meet you and become part of your family! Please don’t make him wait very long!
