About Friends For Life Animals Friends For Life rescues, rehabilitates, and places domestic animals into stable homes. By working with local veterinarians, we ensure that the animals under our care undergo disease and parasite testing, vaccinations, sterilization surgery, and other necessary treatment. We also microchip our animals. Animals are currently housed throughout a network of foster homes in the Sacramento area. Potential owners for our animals are selected through an adoption application process and a visit to the home. There is an adoption fee to help cover the costs of preparing the animal for adoption. Adoption Pledge Friends For Life requests all new families to be understanding and patient with their new companion animals. Our animals come to you from a variety of situations. Moving these animals into a new environment, no matter how wonderful and loving an adopting family may be, can be a big change for them and will require an adjustment period before feeling at home. Interested? If you live in the Sacramento, CA area and are interested in adopting one of our animals, please complete our questionnaire. Monetary donations are always greatly needed and appreciated.
