Caring for Your Cat
Providing a Safe Environment
Usually, the most attractive things to cats are often those that are most dangerous. Cat-proof your home by checking for string, ribbon, yarn, rubber bands, plastic milk jug rings, paper clips, pins, needles, and anything else that could be ingested. All of these items are dangerous, despite the fact that your cat may look cute when it's playing with them.
The number one cause of accidental death for felines is the clothes dryer. Know where your cat is and double-check the inside of the dryer before you dry your clothing. Also do not leave mini-blind cords in a position where a cat could accidentally hang itself. Toilet seat lids should be closed at all times.
