Finding Lost Pets
No one ever plans to lose a pet, but there are a few precautions you can take to ensure their safe return. Immediately contact Friends for Life if you are unable to locate your pet. Your cat has been microchipped, so, in the event that it is found, veterinarians and animal rescue agencies can scan it for the identification number. Friends for Life will then be contacted and will contact you. If your other pets have not been microchipped, you should be aware of that California State Law only requires stray animals to be held at animal shelters for five business days animals housed in shelters longer than that are destroyed.
